So just like any other board, there's rules. I think they're pretty fair, so you must obey them or else! If you have any suggestions pm me.
1. We don't care what your username is, but when you change it to your character's name please in proper case letters write out their complete first middle intial and last names, like so: Marguerite J. Blackwood.
2. No god-modding.
We all know what that means. No rping as another character. For example, Rose threw a hex at Scorpious and he was knocked out cold from it. Only on the consent of the user are you allowed to do so.
3. Grammar
I know that most of us can't spell complicated words, but words like green and she should be spelled correctly. Also, if you use firefox, it will tell you if you spelled something wrong, so there's really no excuse for misspellings.
Please post in third person, rather than first person.
Also, speak english inside of character. No IM chat allowed. IM chat will only be allowed to be used in the C-Box.
4. No killing each other unless you have discussed it with each other in PM's. Also you are not allowed to barge into someone thread unannounced. You must obtain permission from all parties before answering in their thread.
5. Please put the name of the character in the subject of your thread so everyone knows it's taken. If it's just an open thread put open in the title.
6. Keep your banners at 500 x 350 at the max. I don't want them to expand and stretch the site. Icons or avatars should remain at 100x100 as well.
7. Respect each other in the cbox and anywhere else on the board. We're all here for the same reason that's to have fun and rp out some harry potter goodness. So keep it clean and no fighting.
8. The minimum post on this site will be two paragraphs of 6-8 sentences, or about 250 words. That's not really a lot and we're not going to be checking but it's seriously not hard to hit 250 per post. Be as descriptive as you can and try to match the person you're posting with as well.
9. Be realistic when making characters. No one is perfect and no one is completely horrible. Not everyone has a tragic story of their parents dying or something of the sort I want a broad span of characters, houses as well. It's not fun for everyone to be a Gryffindor or Slytherin. There are other houses, you know.
10. There will be house points on this site. The way you can earn points is the following:
5 pts for signing up for a house. (ie: Marguerite as a Gryffindor, so the Gryffindors would get 5 points.)
5 pts for each advertisement you posted at a site. Send me a pm of where you posted the adverts so we can see. If you post ten, you will get 60 instead of 50.
5 pts for someone nominating your thread. If you really think a person wrote an awesome post or reply, send the link to it through pm and we'll decide if we agree for the points.
20 pts if you win a otm category.
25 pts for posting at least once per day for a week.
There are ways to lose your points as well. I'm going to try to make this as realistic as can be, meaning if you are caught in the forbidden forest or past curfew and a professor catches you, you will lost points. We won't catch everyone since I hope there's many threads going on! So it's up to you if you wanna risk the points.
- 5 pts for being out past curfew in the castle.
- 10 pts for being caught in a boys dorm if you're a girl and vice versa.
-10 pts for getting into fights around Hogwarts or duels.
-15 pts for being out past curfew and out on the grounds.
-20 pts for being caught in the forbidden forest.
-30 pts for being caught out past curfew and in the forbidden forest.
- x amount of pts depending on pranks that are performed.
11. as a minor note, i know we all have lives and are busy and if not, (like me) you don't. xD but i know it gets annoying when you ask to post. just give people time, since I know I'm personally guilty of this.
12. Have fun! After all that's why you came here!
13. The Admins have the reserved right to add additional regulations for the site as needed to ensure fairness of the site.
